Rajeev Sharma

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Born and raised in the Black Country, Ricky is passionate about delivering a reliable service and building lasting relationships with both customers and colleagues. Working closely with the wider team, he is committed to continually improving the business and ensuring UCLS maintains the high standards and personal approach that have become synonymous with the company.

Since December 2018, Ricky has held the role of Managing Director at Universal Courier Logistical Services, contributing to the company’s growth, operations, and commitment to reliable service across the logistics sector. Believing that success comes from consistency, hard work, and looking after people, Ricky takes pride in fostering a positive culture where customers and employees alike feel valued.

Away from work, Ricky is a devoted family man and a lifelong supporter of Wolverhampton Wanderers, enjoying time with family and friends whenever possible.

Ranj Singh

CONTRACTS MANAGER

Ranj Singh is Contracts Manager at UCLS. He has over 10 years in Logistics, starting as a site manager and progressed within the UCLS family. He is a fantastic team player and puts his heart and soul into his daily working life. A great problem solver with a whatever it takes attitude to solve everything we do.

He has a great can-do attitude and inspires all the team to work and perform like a family but with commercial values and aspirations, this has seen the company grow significantly in the last couple of years.

Ranj is always open to new opportunities and with his experience nothing is impossible. We have a great culture at UCLS and this allows us to grow personally and professionally.

Colin Perks

HEAD OF HAULAGE

Joining the UCLS family in 2022, Colin is the General Manager and has overall responsibility of our West Midlands logistics hub and fleet. Colin prides himself on exceeding partners expectations and always goes the extra mile. He has over 25 years’ experience within the logistics industry and is a key player in planning and achieving our growth strategies.

Colin enjoys his passion of riding his beloved motorcycle at the weekends, weather permitting of course!

Josh Marston

NATIONAL CONTRACTS MANAGER

Josh Marston joined the business in 2022 and has the role as National Contracts Manager for UCLS. When joining the business Josh started as a Regional Manager to help support business growth and development.
Over the past 18 months Josh has successfully grown the business in our now biggest contract and brought in team members who have developed other contracts which he helped launch and support when starting up. Although some of the challenges dont seem to be achievable due to the expectation of some of our clients as a team we have not failed at any of them and so long may it continue.
Josh plays poker at a high level but sadly not a world champion but he keeps trying his best to get the Vegas trips! Maybe should just concentrate on logistics.

Simon Freakes

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Simon joined UCLS in 2022, having responsibility of the business operation and is passionate about customer experience and continuous improvement. With over 25 years industry experience, in the service and retail sectors, Simon has a great breadth of knowledge in helping UCLS not only meet but exceed client expectations. Driving positive change and people development are both work passions, and Simon will help shape the future of UCLS.

Anjana Sharma

Compliance Manager

Anj has been with the business from the early days, ensures we are kept on our toes in matters of onboarding, compliance and finances. Her passion for the business is only surpassed by the love and pride she has in her children. No surprise then that she claims to have two families, hers and the UCLS one.
